Nairobi senator mike sonko showed his kcse result but what shocked people much is what he got in mathematics.
Sonko said that although the E in his papers may look scary today, those days it meant something else."Watu wangu getting an E in maths in 1992 haikuwa mbaya kulikuwa na mass failures mean grade ya kuingia campo was C+ and my mean grade was C-," (sic) Sonko twitted on Sunday.
This loosely translates to: "My folks, getting an E in Maths in 1992 was not bad (since) there was a mass failure. The mean grade for going to University was C+ and I got C-).
He added "opponent wangu anaejiita 'manager' alikuwa na 4 E's." (sic) It is not clear whom the senator was referring to.
Here is how he scored:
English C-
Kiswahili B-
Mathematics E
History and government B-
Geography D plain
Physical Science D plain
Biological sciences D plain
Social Education and Ethics B-
Agriculture D plain
Commerce D +
